Acne Treatment

Acne Treatment

Acne is caused by the obstruction of sebaceous glands by bacteria in the skin. These multiply deep in the hair follicle and produce inflamed pus-filled spots, pustules and cysts. Acne should be treated as soon as possible as acne is more likely to go on to a scar if it is left untreated. Acne Treatment is a fantastic cure for this.

The procedure

The Acne Treatment uses an Intense Pulsed Light system. With this technology a  crystal wavelength emits broad-spectrum light, which is applied to the surface of the skin. The energy travels through the epidermis and dermis until it hits the bacteria. Laser treatments target the porphyrins produced as part of the normal metabolism of acne bacteria, and destroy the bacteria without damaging the surrounding tissue. This destroys the acne bacteria in just a fraction of the time it typically takes for antibiotics to work, with fantastic results.

The Results After the treatment the skin may appear pink, red and swollen immediately after the treatment this should reduce over the next 24 hours.

Following this your skin should heal back to normal and you should be able to have another treatment in 2 - 4 weeks, you will usually need 4 -6 Acne Treatments for this course to be complete.

As everyone can react different some people may require more treatments than others, ordinarily the treatment is very effective and you will see results after the first treatment.

These treatments are proven to be very effective and in most cases the clearing of the acne will be permanent. Please note that in some cases the Acne could return and result in needing another course of treatments.
