Radio Frequency Facial Rejuvenation Treatment

Prior to treatment, you will be given a thorough consultation with your practitioner who will be able to answer any questions that you may have.

A medical history will be taken and you may be asked to sign a consent form.

Radio Frequency Facial Rejuvenation Procedure

Before treatment sessions, clients are usually asked to wash their face with warm water and soap; a cooling gel is then usually applied to your face.

Your practitioner will then begin the RF treatment to your treatment area.

You will notice an immediate result after the treatment – your skin will feel tighter and this will continue over the coming months after the initial treatment.

Results can last up to two years and some people may only need one treatment session.

After treatment, there may be some redness to the area that resembles sunburn but this is usually very temporary. Many clients return to work immediately after treatment.

There is nothing specifically required for after care although you may wish to / be advised to use light moisturising lotions, creams or gels, moisturising mists or cool water rinses post-treatment.

How does Radio Frequency body contouring work?

Radio frequency energy penetrates the skin to heat the tissue and target the collagen fibres. This localised process causes a contraction of the collagen fibres and as a result, fat cells drain then shrink.

The fibroblast cells – which form part of our connective tissue - are stimulated to produce new elastic fibres and collagen.

The result is smoother, tighter, and younger looking skin with a visible “lift”.

What is Radio Frequency body contouring treatment like?

Radio frequency body contouring is very relaxing – sessions last for around 20-30 minutes. The treatment is so relaxing that some clients have been known to fall asleep during the process!

Most clients report a tightening in their skin immediately, but the tightening effect will continue after the treatment itself has finished.

Your skin will be smoother and your muscle tome will also be more visible. It is usual to receive one session per week until 4 – 8 sessions have been completed (this will depend on your requirement).

It is unusual for any radio frequency body contouring side effects but some clients find that the treated area is a little red straight after the treatment.
