Treatment for thread veins

Thread veins are usually a problem on the leg and face area and the cause is largely unknown.

However, temperature changes, standing for long periods of time, alcohol and smoking have been linked to their appearance.

Thread veins are purple, red or blue and stand dilated and visible through to the top layer of the skin.

Many people feel self-conscious about thread veins, making them want to cover up the problem with clothing. Whilst this may not be a problem in the winter, holidays and warm summers can really prove to be difficult and thread veins can seriously damage the self-esteem of the sufferer.

Thread vein treatment process

We will explain the process in detail when you arrive; the process that we use is either Short Wave Diathermy, which is an electrical current sent through the vein by a tiny needle, or IPL which is an Intense Pulsed Light treatment.

Although you may feel a tingle, heat or stinging effect, most clients describe it as bearable.

Treatments are typically fast and after just two or three treatment sessions, you should see results. Usually, time between sessions is four to six weeks.
