Why should I choose a medical doctor for anti-wrinkle injections?
Dr Scotton is an appointed NHS Consultant and fully registered with the GMC. Unlike non-medical practitioners, a doctor understands the complex anatomy of facial muscles. This ensures that your anti-wrinkle treatment is not only safe but precisely targeted to reduce fine lines without compromising your natural facial expressions.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe it as a tiny pinch, similar to plucking an eyebrow hair. We use the finest invisible needles available (much smaller than a vaccination needle), and the actual injection process takes less than 5 minutes.
is there any downtime?
Very little. It is often called a "lunchtime procedure." You may have small bumps at the injection sites for 10-20 minutes, but these go down quickly. You can return to work or normal activities immediately, though we advise avoiding heavy gym sessions for 24 hours.
How long does it last?
You will start to see results after 5-10 days, with the full effect visible at 2 weeks. The results typically last 3 to 4 months. We recommend a top-up when you start to see movement returning to maintain the smooth skin.
What happens at the 2 week review?
We invite you back 14 days post-treatment. This allows Dr. Scotton to check the symmetry and "settling" of the product. If any adjustments or small top-ups are needed to perfect the result, they are done at this appointment.
Will my anti-wrinkle results look natural?
Absolutely. We specialise in the "Natural Look." The goal of modern medical aesthetics is not to freeze the face, but to look well-rested. Dr Scotton calculates a bespoke micro-dose based on your muscle mass. You will still be able to smile and express yourself; the difference is that the lines won't etch deeply into your skin.
