Your Results Timeline
Immediately After
Mild redness or a tiny mark at the treatment site. A small scab begins to form. This is completely normal.
Days 2 to 5
The scab darkens and hardens. Do not pick or scratch. Keep the area clean and dry.
Days 7 to 14
The scab falls off naturally, revealing new pink skin underneath. Apply SPF 30+ when exposed to sunlight.
Weeks 3 to 6
Skin tone normalises and blends with surrounding skin. Most moles leave no visible trace.
Aftercare Guidance
Keep Dry and Clean
Avoid wetting the treated area. A small scab will form. This is normal and part of the healing process.
Let It Heal Naturally
Do not pick or scratch the scab. Allow it to fall away on its own to minimise scarring risk. Use gentle, non-irritating skincare.
Sun Protection
Apply SPF 30+ to treated areas exposed to sunlight. This prevents post-inflammatory pigmentation during healing.
What to Expect on the Day
Where to Find Us
Laser Skin Clinics, 4 Perton Farm Barns, Jenny Walkers Lane, Perton, Wolverhampton WV6 7HB. Free parking directly outside the clinic.
Consultation and Assessment
Your consultation happens on the day. We use specialist scanning technology to carry out a digital skin analysis of your mole, screening for any irregularities before treatment. If everything looks good, we proceed with removal straight away in the same appointment.
Same-Day Treatment
Once your mole is assessed and confirmed as suitable, we remove it there and then. If you have multiple moles, we can treat as many as possible in the same session, so you only need one visit.
After Your Treatment
You can drive home and return to normal activities straight away. A small scab will form over the next few hours. We will give you full aftercare instructions before you leave.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend having your mole checked by your GP before your visit. This confirms the mole is suitable for cosmetic removal and gives you peace of mind. If you have not had a GP check, we will still carry out a thorough digital skin analysis during your appointment to screen the mole before treatment.
We begin with a digital skin analysis using specialist scanning technology to closely assess your mole and screen for any irregularities. This gives us a detailed view of the mole's structure and helps us confirm it is safe for cosmetic removal. If everything looks good, we remove the mole there and then in the same visit. No second appointment needed.
We use Short Wave Diathermy. A fine probe delivers a precise electrical current that cauterises and removes the mole tissue, sealing the blood supply at the same time. The actual removal takes just a few minutes.
You may feel a brief warm sensation during treatment. Most clients describe it as very manageable. The procedure is quick and well-tolerated.
Yes. If you have multiple moles you would like removed, we can treat as many as possible in a single session. This saves you time and means you only need one healing period. The cost is £85 per session regardless of how many moles are treated.
Scarring is minimal. A small pink mark may remain initially but this fades significantly over the following weeks. We provide detailed aftercare guidance to help the area heal as cleanly as possible.
A small scab forms and falls away naturally within 7 to 14 days. Full healing with minimal marking takes 4 to 8 weeks. Most moles leave no visible trace once fully healed.
In most cases, the mole is permanently removed in one session. Regrowth is extremely rare with Short Wave Diathermy.
If during our assessment we identify anything that concerns us, we will not proceed with treatment. We will explain our findings and recommend that you visit your GP for further investigation. Your safety always comes first.
Mole removal is £85 per session regardless of the size, location, or number of moles treated. We accept card, cash, and bank transfer. No hidden fees. Pay on the day at our Wolverhampton clinic.
