Your Questions. Answered
Is this the same as Dermal Filler?
No, they are completely different. Dermal Fillers are made of Hyaluronic Acid gel and are designed to physically add volume or change the shape of your face immediately. Polynucleotides are biostimulators. They do not add artificial volume; instead, they communicate with your cells to regenerate your own skin, thickening it and smoothing it from the inside out. Think of Filler as "contouring" and Polynucleotides as "repairing.
What are Polynucleotides actually made of?
They are highly purified DNA fractions derived from salmon or trout sperm (which closely mirrors human DNA). Because they are so highly purified, there is no risk of allergic reaction to the protein. When injected, these DNA chains trigger your body’s wound-healing response, boosting collagen, elastin, and hydration without sparking inflammation.
Can I have this if I already have Botox or Filler?
Yes, absolutely. In fact, they work brilliantly together. Polynucleotides improve the "canvas" (your skin quality), while Botox and Fillers improve the "structure." We often recommend doing Polynucleotides first to strengthen the skin, which can actually make your filler results last longer.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most patients describe it as a mild stinging sensation rather than "pain." We use a strong numbing cream beforehand to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. The product itself has a slightly different pH to your skin, which causes the short-lived sting, but this fades seconds after injection.
Do you have finance options?
Yes, we offer flexible finance options through Klarna. Please enquire to learn more.
What is the downtime? Will I look normal straight away?
There is minimal social downtime, but you will not look "perfect" immediately. Because we deposit the product in tiny droplets under the skin, you will likely have small, mosquito-bite-like bumps (papules) on the treated area. These typically flatten within 12–24 hours as the product absorbs. You may also experience mild redness or tiny bruises, which can be covered with makeup the next day.
Is it safe for the under-eye area?
Yes, and it is arguably the best treatment for the under-eye. Unlike tear trough filler, which attracts water and can cause puffiness or "tyndall effect" (blueish tint), Polynucleotides strengthen the thin skin and reduce dark circles without adding bulk or puffiness..
How many sessions do I really need?
This is a biological treatment, meaning it builds up over time. While one session triggers the process, we strongly recommend a course of 3 sessions (spaced 2–4 weeks apart) for visible, long-lasting results. For more mature skin or deep textural issues (like acne scarring), a course of 6 sessions provides the deepest regeneration.
When will I see results?
This is not a "quick fix." Because your body needs time to produce new collagen, you will start to see improvements in skin quality, brightness, and firmness around 3–4 weeks after your second session. The peak results usually appear about 3 months after completing your course.
How long do results last?
Once you complete your initial course, the cellular regeneration lasts for 6–9 months. To maintain the "glow" and firmness, most patients book a single maintenance session every 6 months.
How bad is the downtime, really?
Expect 2-3 days of redness like a strong sunburn, followed by light peeling on days 4-5. You can typically wear makeup by day 6.
